Improving and diversifying the STEM student experience: what’s next?

With course curricula and delivery forever altered by the move to hybrid teaching and learning, STEM education now faces a series of new challenges to engage a different type of student cohort, for whom increased access and personalised learning are critically important.

To exchange knowledge and discuss best practice about how what strategies universities should adopt in response, this webinar, held in partnership between Times Higher Education and DigitalEd, will bring together a panel of leaders from industry and academia to discuss:

• How asynchronous learning can help undergraduate STEM students acquire the knowledge and skills they need for higher education
• Why creating learning communities are important to maximise STEM student’s retention and attainment
• What interpersonal feedback loops must be formed between students and teachers to enable continuous improvement
• The role of data analyses to help students and staff perform better
• What new and trusted modes of assessment are driving attainment in STEM subjects
• How raising awareness and representation can increase diversity in STEM student intakes
• Entering the next phase of student employability with opportunities for undergraduates and lifelong learners
